SAWMILLING

About 12 years ago we purchased an old circular saw rig to saw out our own lumber for building and furniture projects of our own. Since then many a shed, boathouse, table, and home have been built from locally harvested wood. We upgraded to a hydraulically operated band mill to ease the strain on the back and continue to custom saw lumber and beams for ourselves and the locals.

Our sawmill operations are kept limited to custom sawing applications only, meaning that we prefer to offer specialty cuts of wood, such as full dimension beams, posts, mantles, and chemical free landscape ties. If you need 5,000 board feet of framing for your garage, chances are we can't help you. Spruce, white pine and red oak are the predominate species of wood we are apt to have on hand.
